One of the Torah books available from Rabbi Tatz is "Letters to a Buddhist Jew". When Rabbi Akiva Tatz received a letter from a Chicago Jew by the name of David Gottlieb asking if he should commit himself fully to Judaism and abandon Zen altogether although Zen helped him to awaken spiritually for the first time in his adult life, Rabbi Tatz answered immediately. Rabbi Tatz also answers his question about finding the vibrancy, wisdom, and source of spiritual connection for which Judaism had never held. The correspondence between Rabbi Tatz lasted for the next two years and became an exploration of many of the deepest ideas of Judaism. This book is a record of that correspondence and it explores a depth of Torah wisdom that you won't find in any other Torah books.

In another of his Torah books, Living Inspired, Rabbi Tatz shows how an understanding of some of the deeper ideas and patterns of Torah thought can illuminate our everyday experience. There is a focus on life in general and its ordeals in particular as well as relationships, the unexpected, even life's problems and doubts become springboards to inspiration. In this choice of Rabbi Tatz' Torah books, there is a presentation of some of the deepest ideas in Jewish thought. He also presents his ability to show how these ideas affect everyday life and its challenges have touched and enriched audiences and individuals worldwide.
